January 2018

3 (Wednesday) 7-9pm -- Bisexual Social and Support Group (BLiSS)

Meets monthly 1st Wed at the Boston Living Center, 29 Stanhope Street, Boston in the 2nd floor library.  Bi & bi-friendly people of all genders & orientations welcome. Meetings are peer-facilitated discussion groups, sometimes with a pre-selected topic or presenter. Contact <bliss@biresource.net> for more info.  Nearest T stop is Back Bay, on the Orange Line.

 

8 (Monday) 7-9pm -- Straight Marriage, Still Questioning

A peer led support group for the woman in a straight marriage/relationship struggling with her sexual orientation or coming out. If interested in attending please contact <kate.e.flynn@gmail.com>.  The group meets on the second Monday of each month.

 

8 (Monday) 7 - 9pm – Bisexual Resource Center Board Meeting

Meets once a month to go over the business of the organization and plan upcoming events and programs. All bi and bi-friendly community members are welcome. Info: Email <brc@biresource.net>. Meets at the Boston Living Center, 29 Stanhope Street, Boston. Nearest T is Back Bay station on the Orange Line.

 

9 (Tuesday) 7 - 9pm -- Bisexual and Bi-Curious Men's Group

A male-facilitated group for men (trans-inclusive) who are bisexual or think they might be, meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month, 7-9 pm, at Fenway Health, 1340 Boylston St.  Please note RSVPs are not required to attend.  You can just show up.

11 (Thursday) 7-9pm – Young BLiSS Group

If you are in your 20s to mid-30s (or thereabouts) and identify somewhere along the lines of bisexual/omni/pan/fluid (or are questioning in that direction), please join us once a month for a few hours of discussion, support, and/or the eating and drinking of delicious things. We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Blue Shirt Cafˇ at 424 Highland Ave in Somerville.  Nearest T stop is Davis on the Red Line. All genders welcome! 14 (Sunday) 2-4pm – Tea with Bisexual Women Partnered with Men (BWPM)

At the Public Library of Brookline –located at 361 Washington St. in Brookline.  This will be a peer led support meetup hosted by the BRC. We will discuss a wide range of issues related to attraction, sexuality, and gender in a supportive safe space for only trans and cis women and non-binary folks of all races and ethnic backgrounds. This is not a Dating event.

**Note: This meetup is only open to trans and cis women and non-binary folks who are currently or recently have been in long term partnerships with heterosexual or bisexual self identified men and non-binary people.

 

17 (Wednesday) 6:30 – 8:00pm – Bi Guys/z Social Night

At Club Cafe, 209 Columbus Ave, at Berkeley Street in Boston.  Ask for the Bi Guyz Meet Up at the host stand or at the bar; we'll usually have a table reserved up front near the windows.  Open to all in the Boston area who identify as "bi+ bi/curious guys/z" to create a night for us to get together once a month or and just hang out in a relaxed, supportive, safe space with no particular agenda. Bi+ Trans men and bi+ gender-fluid/gender non-binary folks who are exploring masculine identities are very welcome.  Nearest T stop is Back Bay on the Orange Line and the 39 bus.

 

20 (Saturday) 11:30am -- All-Gender ­Bi Brunch

Bi Brunch is on the 3rd Saturday of the month at The Burren, 247 Elm Street, Davis Square, Somerville.  This event is open to all bisexual and bi-friendly people.  No RSVP is needed. The Davis stop on the Red Line is just a short walk away and ample parking is available. Meet a few minutes early by the bar to make sure we can be seated together.

 

21 (Sunday) noon -- BBWN Bi WomenÕs Brunch

What we'll do:  Please bring a potluck item to share. This is a great way to meet other bi and bi-friendly women in the area! This event is intended for Bi+ women (including trans, cis, and nonbinary) and affirming women friends of any/no orientation.

What to bring:  Food or beverages are welcomed, but not required, to attend.

Important to know:  Access: there are about 10 steps that lead up to the apartment.

This event is a short distance from JFK/UMass T station. There is also street parking (no permits, no meters).  PLEASE RSVP to <avon.alger@gmail.com> for the address.

BRC Office Hours

On the first Wednesday of each month, the BRC Office will be open from 5:30-7:00 pm before the monthly BLiSS meeting. Community members can visit the resource library, purchase merchandise, and find out more about the organization. The office is on the 4th floor of the Boston Living Center, 29 Stanhope St in Boston's Back Bay. Email <brc@biresource.net> for more info.

The Bisexual Resource Center (aka The Bi Office)

Events are held at the Boston Living Center building, 29 Stanhope St. in Boston, unless noted.  Located about 2 blocks from Back Bay Station on the Orange Line, commuter rail, and the 39 bus.  Exit the lobby of the station on the Clarendon St. side and turn left on Clarendon (or exit directly from the Orange Line platform and turn right on Clarendon), then turn right on Stanhope St. at the Flour Bakery and Cafe.  We are a block down on the left past the Red Lantern, Zocalo, and the Brahmin.  Our building is wheel chair accessible. For more information, call our office at 617-424-9595.  All donations are voluntary and requested only from those who can afford to donate. Biversity Boston events are open to all bisexual and bi-friendly people.
